Stone Survey
Creation of a Paper Stone for Florence Cardenti, visual artist and photographer on the occasion of the exhibition Right Now! Innsbruck, an investigation ; which brings together the work carried out within the Alpenverein fund of the city of Innsbruck in Austria.
Stone Survey was one of three works presented by the artist at the exhibition.
They connect the strength and fragility of this Alpine environment and offer the viewer the opportunity to place themselves at the heart of the images and invite them to reinvent or rediscover this great mountain range which still frightens and inspires dreams.
For this project, we started with a 3D scan of a stone from this Alpine region that we simplified to be able to reproduce it on paper.
A tablet was made available and allowed the user to view the scan of the stone and modify its size and texture.
The paper sculpture represented an enlargement of a fraction of the stone and gave the viewer the possibility of visualizing it in space and projecting themselves into it, measuring 80 x 60 x 20 cm.
